Welcome to Carroll Gardens

South of Cobble Hill and north of Red Hook lies Carroll Gardens, a beautiful historic neighborhood known for its Italian-American heritage. The neighborhood counts the 278 Freeway at its western border, providing a convenient artery toward Staten Island and Manhattan.

Carroll Gardens is home to brownstone rowhouses and scenic parks, including the eponymous Carroll Park. The Carroll Gardens Historic District is adorned with large front gardens, lending the neighborhood its namesake. Historically known for its Italian character, the neighborhood retains this heritage and recently has welcome many French residents and restaurants to add to its European flavor.
